Teresa Carol Denny

Teresa Carol Denny, age 64, of Lily, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Teresa was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched the lives of many with her kindness, creativity, and love for life. She leaves behind two children, Christopher Lloyd Denny & wife Melinda Proffitt of Lily, KY, Nina Mae Denny & husband Gayle of Lexington, KY; two siblings, Patricia Carpenter, Mike Cotton; four grandchildren, Gavin Christopher Southworth, Joshua Leeland Southworth, Kayla Gentry, Cailee Proffitt; her best friend, Debbie Taylor; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy & Roberta Mae Lily Cotton. Teresa spent her life dedicated to her family and home. She was known for her passion for crochet, quilting, coloring, and various other crafts. Her handmade blankets, crafted with love and care, are treasured keepsakes for many who knew her. Teresa was not only a gifted crafter but also an excellent cook. Her kitchen was often filled with the aromas of her delicious meals, bringing comfort and joy to all who gathered around her table. An avid nature lover, Teresa found immense joy in being outdoors. Whether it was tending to her garden, enjoying a sunny day, or simply appreciating the beauty of nature, she felt most at peace surrounded by the world’s natural wonders. Her love for animals, especially her cherished cats, was evident to everyone who knew her. Teresa’s legacy is one of love, warmth, and creativity. She leaves behind a family who will forever hold her in their hearts, along with countless friends who were touched by her generosity and spirit. A celebration of Teresa’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
