Ronnie Dale Root, age 76, of London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. He leaves behind his loving wife, Linda Sue Puckett Root; three children, Ronnie Root Jr. & wife Nikki, Tony Root, Michael Root & wife Courtney, all of London, KY; seven siblings, Judy Brown & husband David of Indianapolis, IN, Betty Lykins of London, KY, Debra Smith of London, KY, Linda Cowden & husband Rick of London, KY, Billy Root of London, KY, Terry Root & wife Ann of Corbin, KY, Jimmy Root of Indiana; seven grandchildren, Jesse Root, Katie Root, Josh Root, Brittany Yaden, Anna Root, Audrey Root, Amelia Root; three great grandchildren, Mahayla Root, Easton Root, Korbynn Root; special friends, Harry & Evelyn Ormsby; plus a host of other family and friends, and many car friends, to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Brock & Roxie Root; and by two siblings, Sharon Moore, Ricky Lee Root. Ronnie leaves behind a legacy of kindness, faith, and community spirit. He was retired, having proudly owned and operated Ron's Auto Service Center for over 25 years, where his integrity and skill earned him the trust of countless customers. Ronnie deeply loved Jesus and made it his mission to share that love with others. Known for handing out "Jesus Loves You" cards wherever he went, he never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel seen and valued. His heart for people and his joyful spirit made him unforgettable. A true car enthusiast, Ronnie was the founder of the Southeast Kentucky Cruisers Car Club, where he brought together fellow lovers of classic cars and cruising. His passion for cars was only matched by his passion for people. Ronnie will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his warm conversations, and the way he shared love in both word and deed. He leaves behind a community forever touched by his presence. A funeral service honoring Ronnie Dale Root will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Providence Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the service hour, also at the funeral home. Car enthusiasts and friends are invited to honor Ronnie’s memory by driving their classic cars in the funeral procession.
