Randy Thompson, age 60, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2026. He leaves behind his loving wife, Lynn Rader Thompson; his mother, Janie Bowling Thompson; three children, Tiffany Thompson of London, KY, Kookie Thompson of East Bernstadt, KY, Jaxson Thompson of East Bernstadt, KY; his stepson, Jeremy Robinson of East Bernstadt, KY; four grandchildren, Jayda Patton (Shane), Marley Robinson (Isaiah Tankersley), Layken Robinson, Olivia Thompson; two great grandchildren, Easton Patton, Saylor Tankersley; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Thompson; and by his brother, Rodney Thompson. Randy was a devoted farmer, proud father, cherished Papaw, and friend to many. He was a man whose life was rooted in hard work, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. For many years, Randy worked the land he loved, finding joy in the simple blessings of country life and the satisfaction that came from an honest day’s work. Farming was more than a livelihood to him — it was part of who he was. He carried a quiet strength, steady hands, and a heart that never seemed to run out of compassion for others. Above all else, Randy loved his family. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life. He never missed an opportunity to tell stories, share wisdom, lend a helping hand, or make those he loved feel special. To his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he was more than a grandfather — he was the best Papaw anyone could ask for, a source of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. Randy will be remembered for his heart of gold, his gentle spirit, and the way he made everyone around him feel welcome and cared for. His legacy lives on in the family he adored and in the countless lives he touched through his kindness and generosity. Though he will be deeply missed, the love and memories Randy leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A funeral service honoring Randy Thompson will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Litton Town Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 23, 2026 beginning at 7:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Shane Patton, Jeremy Robinson, Josh Smith, Robert Wilkie, Zach Bowling and Isaiah Tankersley.
