Paul Jonathan Carson, age 64, of London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. He leaves behind four children, Nanette Elaine Carson of London, Ky, Jalyssa Lynn Davis & husband Erik of Winchester, OH, Tony Narciso Ramos of London, KY, Laura Delfina Taylor & husband Stu of London, KY; fourteen grandchildren, Hailee Madison Carson, Jamison Logan Carson, Javon Edward Monroe Carson, Austin Ramos, A. J. Ramos, Aliciya Ramos, Taylor Hoskins, Kyerstyn Taylor, Cristin Mague, Cameron Taylor, Allison Taylor, Makayla Acosta & husband Isidro, Ryleigh Taylor, Evan Davis; two great grandchildren, Oliver, Carter; three siblings, Paula Carson Bush, Patti Asher & husband Marvin Wilkins, Pearl Shepherd, all of London, KY; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Carson & Jackie Riley Carson; and by one sibling, Philip Carson. Paul was a beloved member of the Fariston United Baptist Church and later attendee of Macedonia Methodist Church. He was a man of strong faith and served as a deacon within the Baptist faith for several years, exemplifying his dedication to service and community. He was a proud member of the Laurel London Optimist Club, embodying the club's spirit of optimism and commitment to bettering the community. He retired as an officer of the Kentucky State Police after 24 years of devoted service, earning respect and admiration for his unwavering dedication to his job and the people he served. Paul was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved hosting cookouts with his family, cherishing every moment spent with them. Known for his hands-on skills, he enjoyed working on anything electrical and building things, always eager to learn and create. His legacy is one of faith, family, and service, leaving behind a profound impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him. A funeral service honoring Paul Jonathan Carson will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Donald Tackett officiating. Burial will follow at Norvell Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Jamison Carson, Javon Carson, Darryl Joey Shepherd, Evan Davis, Shawn Hines and Marlon Berry. Honorary pallbearers are the Department of Motor Vehicle employees, Wayne Riley, Jack Riley, Toby Curry, Tony Ramos, Carson Bush, Delbert Riley, Richard Riley and Meeker Riley. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
