Mildred Bores

Mildred Bores, age 85, of London, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025. She leaves behind five children, Della Taylor & husband Willard, Annie Miller & husband Lowell, Pauline Saylor, Frank Bores Jr. & wife Jennifer, Sandy Bores; two siblings, Kathy Dewiled & husband Norman, Diane Lawson; twenty-four grandchildren including Nathan, Austin, Laurie, Johnathan, Crystal, Amber, Frank, Jason, Timothy, Billy Travis, Kayla, Dalton, Marissa, Addie, Tullula, Anthony, Bridgett; one great granddaughter, Maya Mildred Miller along with several other great grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank Bores; her parents, Elmer & Orise Pearl Wells Lawson; three children, Lonnie Bores, Melinda Irvin, Patsy Murray; and by four siblings, Sherry Buchanan, Arnold Lawson, Debbie Lawson, Ronnie Lawson. Mildred was a devoted homemaker who will be remembered for her kind spirit, her deep faith in God, and the love she poured into her home and family. Mildred had a passion for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals to share with those she loved. She not only enjoyed cooking but also delighted in sitting down to eat with her family, cherishing the moments of laughter and conversation around the table. Her home was always filled with warmth, good food, and the fragrance of her favorite flowers, which she tended with care and admiration. Her greatest treasures in life were her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable happiness. She adored every moment spent with them, offering love, guidance, and comfort that will be cherished for generations. Mildred’s faith in God was the foundation of her life. She lived with gratitude and grace, and her unwavering devotion served as a constant example to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. A funeral service honoring Mildred Bores will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Stansbury Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 7, 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
