Margaret Darlene Neely (Granny), age 90, of London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. She leaves behind two children, Larry Neely & wife Virginia, Lattie Neely & wife Donna, all of London, KY; two siblings, Leo Dugger, Ronnie Dugger, both of Indianapolis, IN; ten grandchildren; plus a host of great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren and other family and friends to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Neely; her parents, Chris Hale & Flonnie Dugger; her son, Benny Charles Neely; seven siblings, Irvine Dugger, Imo Morgan, Hiwatha Dugger, Christine Dugger, John Dugger, Cleo Reynolds, Flonnie Anders; and by her grandson, Johnathan Neely. Darlene was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and faith. Born into a large family as one of ten siblings, Darlene learned early the value of togetherness, compassion, and service to others. She carried those values throughout her life and into her marriage of 54 years to her devoted husband, Henry. Their life together was marked by deep love, unwavering commitment, and the joy of raising their children and welcoming grandchildren, who became the delight of her days. Darlene retired from American Greeting Co., where she was known for her warm spirit and friendly nature. She never had a negative word to say about anyone and truly never met a stranger—her smile and kind words made everyone feel at home. She found joy in many simple pleasures: cooking and sewing for her loved ones, tending her garden, and visiting with family near and far. Darlene was also an avid watcher of WLJC, drawing strength and comfort from her faith. With a servant’s heart, she gave generously of her time and love, touching countless lives with her kindness and willingness to listen. She will be remembered not only for her gentle words and endless conversations, but also for the way she made others feel valued and cared for. Her life was a testament to love, faith, and family, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. A funeral service honoring Margaret Darlene Neely will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Anthony Hensley and Wesley Hamlin officiating. Interment will follow at the Dugger Cemetery in Pulaski County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 19, 2025 beginning at 5:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
