Mag Nola (Granny) Jones, age 89, of London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022. She leaves behind two children, Ida Arthur & husband Wayne, Edna Murphy, all of London, KY; one sister, Nancy Gresham of Merrillville, IN; two sisters-in-law, Mae Copper, Lou Ogden; four grandchildren, Teddy Arthur, Johnny Arthur, Kimberly Dejohn, Gina Beth Allen; eleven great grandchildren, Vanessa Snyder, Jonathan Wayne Arthur, Jacob Lee Arthur, Marlee Arthur, Scott Maupin, Taylor Arthur, Lucas Meadors, Max Meadors, Seth Kranbuhl, Austin Kranbuhl, Chloe Kranbuhl; four great-great grandchildren, Raeleigh Arthur, Ava Arthur, Andrew Snyder, Levi Snyder, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Jones; her parents, James and Cuey Hampton Proffitt; her son, Dennis Jones; five siblings, Dan Proffitt, John D. Proffitt, Mary Jane Minton, Rosie Minton, Frances Burkhart; her granddaughter, Tina Gail Oliver; and her great grandson, Matthew Wayne Arthur. Mag Nola was retired and previously worked at London Department Store for more than 10 years. She was a member of Weaver Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life she attended Hightop Missionary Baptist Church with her family. She loved to work outside in her garden and tend to her flowers. Most of all she loved being with her family, and especially her grandbabies. Funeral services for Mag Nola (Granny) Jones will be held on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Owens and Rev. Mike McQueen officiating. Burial will follow at the Bruner Cemetery in London, KY. Serving as pallbearers will be her great grandsons, Jonathan Arthur, Jacob Arthur, Lucas Meadors, Max Meadors, Austin Kranbuhl, Seth Kranbuhl, Scott Maupin; and standing in for Matthew Arthur will be his dad, Teddy Arthur. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 9, 2022 beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
