Jimmie Randall Miller

Jimmie Randall Miller, age 81, passed away on September 8th, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. He was born in London, Kentucky on October 17th, 1941 to James Elbert and Vada Lee Bruner Miller. Jimmie married the love of his life, Norma Jean Smith, on June 16th, 1961. Their family and love expanded with the birth of their two sons, James Donald Miller (Whitney) of Ashland, Kentucky; and Douglas Wayne Miller (Karen), of Somerset, Kentucky. The Miller family continued to grow with grandchildren Justin, Kellen, Marissa, Jason “J.B.” Davis, Jameson Cade, Tanner Davis, and Courtney; and further still with great grandchildren Tenay and Aniah; Bodie and Mila; Hailey, Damon, Sylvia, and Esme Goins; and June Davis. He was a faithful member of Hopewell Baptist Church in Corbin, Kentucky, where he served as a deacon for 23 years. He had a successful career as a sales representative for GC Quality Lubricants. His evenings and weekends were spent worshiping, fishing, cooking, and eating. He loved his Lord, family, and southern Gospel singing. To know him was to be loved and cherished by him. He will be remembered for his smile, compassion, and unconditional love. Jimmie was proceeded in death by his parents Elbert and Vada; brothers Robert Lee Miller, Billy Ray, and Jackie Curtis; and brother-in-law Edward C. Caldwell. Jimmie is survived by his beloved siblings, sister Betty Sue Caldwell of London and brother Charles Edward (Juanita) Miller of Berea; as well as a community of friends and family to celebrate his life. Funeral services for Jimmie Randall Miller will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Billy Miller and Dennis McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Dunn Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 10, 2023 beginning at 11:30 a.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests for donations to be made to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, RMHC. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
