Jewel Mason Dozier

Jewel Mason Dozier, age 91, of London, Kentucky passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026. He leaves behind his loving wife, Arlene Holland Dozier; two sons, Wesley Shane Dozier & wife Kelly, Shawn Jamison Dozier & wife Angie, all of London, KY; three siblings, Fay Lawson of Morristown, TN, Wanda Kinsler & husband Dennis of North Carolina, Joe Dozier & wife Gezel of Pineville, KY; five grandchildren, Sydney Wells, Trey Dozier, Carrie Dugger, Tommy Jones, Elijah Jones; nine great grandchildren, Zayden Wells, Ezekiel Wells, Maddox Wells, Bentley Dozier, Malikai Adams, Ethan McFarland, Nathanel Morgan, Justice Jones, Julian Jones; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Leo Dozier & Perna Lena Lyons Dozier; and by nine siblings, Christine Martin, Marie Mills, Hubert Dozier, Zora Dozier, Junior Dozier, Clifford Dozier, Kenneth Dozier, Ruth Smith, Donald Dozier. Jewel was a hardworking and devoted man who believed in providing for his family and giving his best in everything he did. From the time he was a young boy, Jewel understood the value of hard work. As one of thirteen siblings, he learned early the importance of family, perseverance, and looking out for those he loved. Throughout his working years, Jewel worked as a coal miner and truck driver, taking pride in working hard to provide for his family. He was a man who knew the meaning of dedication and never shied away from hard work. Jewel proudly served his country in the United States Army. His service was another reflection of the strength, commitment, and sense of duty that he carried throughout his life. Above all, Jewel loved his family. He took great pride in being able to provide for them and was happiest knowing those he loved were cared for. His hard work, strength, and love for his family will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him. Jewel leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and devotion. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. A funeral service honoring Jewel Mason Dozier will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Taylor Cemetery in Blackwater, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
