Faye Garland Hubbard

Faye Garland Hubbard, age 88, of London, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024. Faye was known for her unwavering dedication to helping others, her love for the great outdoors, and her deep affection for her family and grandchildren. She leaves behind six children, Gelia Morgan & husband Jim Prewitt of London, KY, Jennifer Rudder of East Bernstadt, KY, Barbara Roth of London, KY, Kimberly Hubbard of Indianapolis, IN, Lynn Benge of London, KY, Darrell Hubbard & wife Sherry of Columbus, IN; one sibling, G. C. Garland of London, KY; sixteen grandchildren; several great and great, great grandchildren, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. C. Hubbard; her parents, Guthrie & Charlotte Garland; one sibling, Ray Garland; her daughter-in-law, Monika Bowling; her sons-in-law, Don Roth, James W. Rudder. Faye spent her life committed to making a difference in the lives of those around her. Her career as a teacher, and then later as a social worker was marked by compassion, dedication, and an unrelenting drive to support those in need. She touched countless lives with her kindness and empathy, leaving a lasting impact on the community she served. In her free time, Faye found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid reader, often lost in the pages of a good book. She also loved spending time outdoors, whether it was camping under the stars, or simply enjoying the fresh air. These moments in nature brought her peace and happiness. Above all, Faye treasured her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, always putting her loved ones first. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she cherished every moment spent with them, creating memories that will be forever cherished. Faye's legacy of kindness, love, and dedication to others will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, generous heart, and the beautiful example she set for all who knew her. Funeral services for Faye Garland Hubbard will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Jeff Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 30, 2024 beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
