Donald E. Caylor, age 91, of London, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026. He leaves behind his loving wife of 71 years, Odella Lee Sizemore Caylor; five children, Patricia Tapp & husband Dan of Covington, KY, Debra Griffith & husband Clyde of Florence, KY, Donna Thompson & husband Wayne of London, KY, Theresa Hicks & husband Mike of Irmo, SC, Jeff Caylor of London, KY; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great, great grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Edward Caylor & Wilnore Alice Schardt Caylor. Donald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and man of unwavering faith, who leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and love for his family. Donald faithfully served his country in the United States Army, carrying with him the values of duty, honor, and integrity throughout his life. Following his military service, he dedicated 35 years to Interlake Steel, where he worked as a steelworker until his retirement. His strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family were evident in all that he did. A man of deep faith, Donald attended church faithfully and never missed an opportunity to share the hope he had in the Lord. He enjoyed witnessing to others, offering words of encouragement and speaking openly about his relationship with God. His quiet testimony and genuine compassion left a lasting impression on many lives. Donald found great joy in the outdoors and appreciated the simple pleasures of life. Whether spending time outside or simply enjoying God's creation, he found peace in nature. Above all else, he cherished his family. Caring for those he loved was one of his life's greatest priorities, and he took great pride in being a steady source of strength, guidance, and support. Donald will be remembered for his faithful heart, his dedication to his family, his years of honest work, and the love he shared so freely. His life was a testament to service—service to his country, his family, and his Savior. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of faith, love, and devotion will continue to inspire all who knew him. A graveside service honoring Donald E. Caylor will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Owsley Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements
