Dale Brock

Dale Brock, 91, of Owensboro, KY, formerly of London, KY, passed away June 2, 2025. Dale was born in Warbranch, KY, on April 27, 1934, the son of Lige and Mallie Brock. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany for two years. In 1957, Dale married Pauline Simpson, and they moved to Flint, Michigan, where he worked for General Motors for 30 years. Together, they raised three daughters and later retired to London, KY. Dale loved working in his garden and driving his tractor. Remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Pauline; daughters Patrice Sherman (Glenn) of Owensboro, KY, and Jeanine Rose (Patrick) of Grand Blanc, MI; and grandchildren Katie Raymond (Jason), Jennifer Campbell (John), and Justin Sherman. He is also survived by great-granddaughters Erika Beck, Alisha Evans, Eleanor Campbell, and Emerson Campbell; his brother Bige Brock (Rose) of London, KY; bonus sister-in-law Jane Brock of London, KY; and three brothers-in-law: Si Asher, Necy Simpson, and Raleigh Simpson. Preceding Dale in death were his daughter Brenda Brooks; parents Lige and Mallie Brock; grandchildren Patrick Rose Jr., Jacob Sherman, and Kelly Brooks; and siblings Arch, Caudle, Lucy Slusher, Paralee Brock, Catherine Sparks, Eva Howard, Earl, Frank, Luke, Mae, and Howard. Dale’s family and friends will forever cherish his memory and the joy he brought into their lives. A funeral service honoring Dale Brock will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Reed Brock officiating. Following the funeral service, Dale will be laid to rest at Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, Kentucky. Military honors will be provided by the local DAV Chapter 158 of Keavy, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 6, 2025 beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home.
