Bobby Laws Jr., age 64 of London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. He leaves behind his wife, Joyce Charlene Brummett Laws; three children, Bobby Laws III & wife Whitney of London, KY, Daniel Laws of London, KY, Christy Laws of Barbourville, KY; one sister, Kimberly Leavell; seven grandchildren, Bradley Laws, Conner Laws, Brooklyn Robinson, Dax Laws, Cierra Laws, Gavin Browning, Mason Hatton; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Laws Sr. & Imogene Dolly Brandenburg Laws; two siblings, Eddie Halcomb, Sandy Croucher; his niece, Carrie Overbay; his nephew, Jackie Croucher; his father-in-law, Fred Brummett; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Brummett. Bobby spent much of his life working at Flowers Bakery before retiring, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. One of Bobby's greatest passions was his love for horses. He found joy and solace in spending time with these magnificent animals, often riding through the countryside and enjoying the beauty of nature. Bobby was a true family man, deeply devoted to his wife and their children. He cherished family gatherings and treasured moments spent together, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. In his spiritual journey, Bobby found salvation and purpose through his faith. He was saved and baptized at Pilgrim's Rest Baptist Church, where he found community and strength in his relationship with God. Bobby will be remembered for his zest for life, his kind heart, and his unwavering devotion to his family and faith. He leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. A memorial service honoring Bobby Laws Jr. will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at Brummett Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to the funeral home to cover expenses.
