Otis Cottongim

August 10, 1939 - November 30, 2019

Otis Cottongim, age 80, of London, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in London. He leaves behind his loving wife, Ruby Wyatt Cottongim; two children, Carl Cottongim & wife Cindy of Franklin, OH, Linda Weaver & husband John of London, KY; eight stepchildren, Larry Wagner, Donnie Wagner, Mary Abrams, Kathy Brown, Roger Wagner, Doug Wagner, Lisa Pennington, Timmy Wagner; his sister, Gladys Bundy of Waynesville, OH; two grandchildren, Ryan Weaver and Ryan Lehman; three great grandchildren, Weston Weaver, Jordan Lehman, Kylie Lehman, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen Cottongim, his parents, Virgil and Irene Cottongim; and by his brother, Luther Cottongim. Otis attended Laurel River Baptist Church. He was retired from Armco Steel Co. where he worked for 32 years as an iron worker. He loved working on golf carts. He loved people and enjoyed life. Funeral services for Otis Cottongim will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Ernie Wyatt and Lynn Parman officiating. Burial will follow in the Laurel River Cemetery in London. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
