Correne Morgan

Correne Morgan, age 86, of London, Kentucky passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022. She leaves behind six children, Niley Sue Lewis & husband Lonny, Debbie Slusher, Donna Lewis & husband Jesse, Glenda May Baker, Mary Tincher, Porter Morgan, all of London, KY; three siblings, Gracie Howard of Ohio, Tom Simpson of London, KY, Mike Simpson & wife Daisy of Tennessee; seventeen grandchildren, Susan Lewis, Misty Bowling, Sandra Lewis, Tarah Slusher, Shaun Slusher, Dustin Slusher, Kendra Mueller, Ashley Lewis, Shannon Lewis, Jesse Lynn Lewis, Tonya Shumate, Brandon Baker, Devon Baker, Brittany Tincher, Brent Tincher, Madison Morgan, Kolton Porter Morgan; twenty-four great grandchildren, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Sparks and Hallie Hoskins Simpson; one daughter, Nancy Ruth Gilbert; and by four siblings, Zola May Gilbert, Johnny Wayne Simpson, Lucille Stewart, Bertha Etta Simpson. Correne was a homemaker and a member of East Bernstadt Church of God. She loved quilting and watching WLJC. She was strong in her faith and loved her family dearly, especially her grandkids. She was the best mother and granny. Correne never met a stranger, and to know Correne was to love her. Funeral services for Correne Morgan will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Russell Woods and Harold Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Gilbert Cemetery in Oneida, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 10, 2022 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
