Tommy Swanner, 70, of London, KY passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024. He leaves behind his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 51 years, Nancy Lewis Swanner; two children, Thomas “Richie” Swanner & wife Billie, Natasha Lackey & husband Tom; three siblings, Dana Minton & husband Mac, Lisa Parker & husband Steve, Greg Swanner; two grandchildren, Peyton Benge & Kendall, Emerson Swanner, all of London, Kentucky, plus, a host of nieces, nephews, family & friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Swanner & Janie Overbay Swanner; one sister, Charlotte Berry; one granddaughter, Addison Swanner. Tommy was a pillar of strength and generosity in his community. As the founder of Superior Telephone Systems, he exemplified dedication and entrepreneurship. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tommy's heart belonged to his family and grandchildren. His devotion to them was unwavering, as was his commitment to his faith as an active member of Calvary Worship Center and Grace Fellowship. Tommy's zest for life was infectious. Whether cheering on his beloved University of Kentucky sports teams, exploring the great outdoors through boating and camping, or simply enjoying good food and company, he radiated joy and warmth. His outgoing nature meant he never met a stranger, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with him. Though Tommy may have left this earthly realm, his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. The memories of his laughter, kindness, and unwavering love will always be remembered as we honor his remarkable legacy. A funeral service honoring Tommy Swanner will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Dale Campbell & Jeff Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at the A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London, KY. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements. Pallbearers include Alex Berry, Dylan Berry, Brandon Swanner, Hunter Swanner, Mac Minton and Kendall Benge.
