Sherri Darling

Sherri Darling, age 47, of London, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024. She leaves behind her husband, Ronnie Darling; her father, Jesse Carpenter; two children, Roy Darling, Chance Darling, both of London, KY; five grandchildren, Noah Darling, Jasper Darling, Lily Darling, Zoey Taylor, Jaylynn Taylor; seven siblings, Kenneth Rawlings, Jesse Cox & wife Minnie Jean, Rick Cox, Mike Cox, Jason Wagers, Rebecca Guth, Tessa Ogle; her sister-in-law, Annie Miller; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Gilbert, Rick Gilbert; step-mother, Anna Paulette Carpenter, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her mother, Christina Mills, her mother-in-law, Virginia Payne; her grandmother, Axie Jones; and by her brother-in-law, Floyd Gilbert. Sherri cherished every moment spent with her family, finding her greatest happiness in the company of her loved ones and especially her grandchildren. Her heart was full of affection and pride for her family, and she delighted in being a constant source of support and encouragement. In her leisure time, Sherri found solace and satisfaction in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed fishing, an activity that brought her tranquility and a sense of connection with nature. Her artistic side flourished in drawing and coloring, activities that allowed her to express her creativity and bring color to her world. Sherri's warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her. She had a way of making those around her feel cherished and valued, and her generous spirit will be deeply missed. Her family and friends will remember her for her loving heart, her laughter, and the countless ways she made life brighter. Funeral services for Sherri Darling will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pittsburg Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kentucky. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 18, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the service hour, also at the funeral home.
