Reva L. Chesnut

Reva L. Chesnut, age 80, of London, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024. She leaves behind her loving husband of 59 years, Arthur Chesnut; two children, Glenn Keith Chesnut & fiancé Amanda Price of East Bernstadt, KY, Reverend Jerry Eugene Chesnut & wife Kathy of East Bernstadt, Ky; five siblings, Dewey Harris, Fred Harris, Wayne Harris, Wanda Alexander, Glenda Parker; two grandchildren, Jamie Eugene Chesnut & wife Skye of London, KY, Felicia Brenee Chesnut & fiancé Jeremy Anderson of East Bernstadt, KY; a step granddaughter, Mia Divinney of Russellville, KY; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry & Ethel Rice Harris; and by three siblings, Yvonne Grant, John David Harris, Henry Harris Jr. Reva was a devoted homemaker whose love knew no bounds. She cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, finding immense joy in the company of her children, grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Rambo. Reva had a passion for cooking and relished in the simple pleasure of sharing a meal with her loved ones. She delighted in outings to town, finding delight in the hustle and bustle of community life. Her faith was a cornerstone of her being, and she found solace and community within the walls of her church, Fountain of Life Church, in London, Kentucky. An incredibly generous soul, Reva's warmth knew no bounds. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone she met feel like family, readily adopting them into her heart. Her giving nature and unconditional acceptance touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. In her leisure time, Reva found joy in the simple pleasures of life - chatting on the phone, listening to music, and hosting friends and family. She had a green thumb and took great pride in cultivating her garden, particularly her beautiful roses that bloomed each year. Reva's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she may be gone, her legacy of love, kindness, and acceptance will endure forever. Funeral services for Reva L. Chesnut will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Eddie Elmore officiating. Burial will follow at Pittsburg Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kentucky. The pallbearers will be Marvin Proffitt, Russell Woods, Michael Harris, David Grant and Michael Hollingsworth. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 10, 2024 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
