Rev. Timothy Yaden

Reverend Timothy Wayne Yaden passed away on August 6th, 2023, at the University of Kentucky Hospital surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 18th, 1974, in Hamilton, Ohio to Gary and Freda Yaden. Tim graduated from Laurel County High School, Class of 1992. He wed his high school sweetheart, Katrina Yaden in May of 1994. Together, they raised three beautiful children, Jordan, Jessika, and Jacob Yaden. In 2020, he gained a “daughter-in-love”, Ellie Yaden. Tim considered his children the greatest blessing and joy of his life. Tim devoted his life to ministry and preached his first message at age 12. He accepted the call to ministry at the age of 17 and was ordained into the Church of God in 2008. Anyone who knew Tim knew he could play nearly any instrument you put in his hand. He not only played and sang with excellence, but with the sole purpose of glorifying the Savior he lived his life to serve. Tim grew up in Long Branch Pentecostal Church in London, Kentucky. He served as the associate pastor under his mother, Freda Yaden at House of Praise in London and spent many years ministering alongside his family. Tim served as the associate and worship pastor at Parkway Praise Center in London for eight years. He then served at West Liberty Church of God as lead pastor for three years before returning home where he would serve as the associate and worship pastor at Corbin Parkway Ministries for eight years. Tim ended his ministry on this earth as the pastor of Community Harvest Church of God in Somerset, Kentucky for nearly a year. Tim is survived by his bride of 29 years, Katrina Yaden and their children Jordan and wife Ellie Yaden of Corbin, Kentucky, as well as Jessika and Jacob Yaden of Somerset, Kentucky. He is survived by his father Gary and wife Rosemary “Tiny” Yaden of London, Kentucky. He leaves behind a sister and brother-in-law, Jeff and Kim Anderson of London, Kentucky, as well as his brothers Rodney and wife Rhonda Yaden of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky and Nathan and wife Brittany Yaden of Lexington, Kentucky. He is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his mother, Freda Yaden of London, Kentucky as well as his maternal grandparents Sam and Ora Proffitt of London, Kentucky and paternal grandparents Ralph and Ruby Yaden of Danville, Kentucky. Funeral Services for Rev. Timothy Yaden will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Bishop Tony Cooper, George Davidson, and Mark Hisle officiating. Burial will follow at A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 11, 2023 beginning at 6:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Jordan Yaden, Jacob Yaden, Kenny Burkhart, Jeff Anderson, James Smith and Jackson Osborne. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
