Pamela Sue Powell, age 70, of Mt. Washington, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024. She leaves behind her husband, Glen Ellis Powell; three children, Glen Powell Jr. & husband Chad Barringer of Charlotte, NC, Kyle David Powell & wife Katie Marie Reed of Louisville, KY, JoAnna Lee Diersing & husband Rocky of Mt. Washington, KY; three grandchildren, Peyton Jane Diersing, Barrett Edward Diersing, Lucy Ellis Diersing; seven siblings, Wanda Jo Mellette & husband Richard of Quebec, Canada, Sandy Lee Girdler & husband David of Winchester, KY, Jim Shackelford & wife Debbie of Lexington, KY, Carla Daniel of Ohio, Joni McDonald of Ohio, LeAnne Rhonemus of Ohio, Gus Eric Miller of Ohio; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Coleman & Wandella Shackelford; and by her brother, Paul Dean Shackelford. Pamela's life was a testament to devotion—to her family, her faith, and the many talents that brought joy to those around her. She had a passion for sewing, crafts, and canning, creating not just practical goods but also treasured memories for her loved ones. Her greatest loves, however, was for her family and her church. Pamela was a devoted member of the Assembly of God - Ville Church in Middletown, KY, where her faith and kindness left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Pamela's warmth and creativity will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and church community. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her and the countless lives she touched. A memorial service honoring Pamela Sue Powell will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Ville Church, 12001 Shelbyville Rd., Suite 104, Louisville, KY 40243. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Hobby and Rev. Glen Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Warren’s Grove Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 4, 2025 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Pamela’s honor to Ville Church, 12001 Shelbyville Rd., Suite 104, Louisville, KY 40243.
