Michael Trent Mynk

Michael Trent Mynk, age 76, of London, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024. He leaves behind his loving wife, Shirley Edwards Mynk; two children, Christopher Trent Mynk & wife Janie of Kentucky, Kristin Reed of Mississippi; one brother, Joe Mynk & wife Joann of Texas; three grandchildren, Trenton Mynk, Riley Reed, Briggs Reed; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert & Mary Moses Mynk; his son, Benton Scott Tackett; and by eight siblings, Junior Mynk, Larry Mynk, Rex Mynk, Wilma Ingram, Gertrude Konieczki, Al Mynk, Dennis Leon Mynk, Virginia Lee Helton. Michael served his country with pride in the US Army Reserves and later retired as a plant manager at American Greeting in Philadelphia, MS after 30 years. He finished his career at Richardson Moldings. Michael was a cherished member of the East Philadelphia Baptist Church, where he was known for his deep faith and his willingness to offer a prayer for anyone in need. His love for fishing and spending time with friends brought joy to his life. However, his greatest joy came from the time he spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren, whom he adored. Michael's legacy of kindness, faith, and dedication will be remembered by all who knew him. He leaves behind a wealth of memories filled with love and laughter, and his absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and community. Funeral services for Michael Trent Mynk will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Bart Jones and Roger Hughes officiating and honorary speaker, Guy Nowell. Burial will follow at A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 3, 2024 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements. Pallbearers: Chris Edwards, Warren Jones, Scott Johnson, Justin Mitchell, Rick Proffitt, Chris Lang, Steve Lewis.
