Marie Jackson

Marie Jackson of Winchester, Kentucky, a beloved homemaker and cherished member of the community, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the age of 81. Marie was known for her warmth, kindness, and deep love for her family and friends. She leaves behind her husband, Roy Jackson; six children, Vickie Caddell of Trenton, OH, Charles Wayne Shoemaker & wife Sherry of Ocklawaha, FL, Deborah Ann Outz & husband Glenn of Plant City, FL, Vonnetta Kay Dougan & Mike Cathcart of Branson, MO, Paul Joseph Strain of Fairborn, OH, Gayle McMillin & husband Brian of Winchester, KY; six siblings, Freddie Hayes & husband George of Rogers, KY, and Edith Wilkerson & husband Dick, Lonnie Bryant & wife Joan, Orville Bryant & wife Pearl, Estill Bryant, Edward Bryant all of Morrow, OH; plus a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred & Eva Caudill Bryant; and by four siblings, Sadie Mae Thorpe, Charles Bryant, Christine Bolin, Geraldine Richards. Marie's passion for gospel music was evident throughout her life. She delighted in sharing her beautiful voice and talent, making several memorable appearances on WLJC, where her performances touched the hearts of many. Her dedication to spreading joy through music was truly inspiring. Not only was Marie a gifted singer, but she was also a creative soul who wrote numerous Christmas plays for her church, leaving a lasting impact on the congregation each holiday season. Her imaginative spirit and devotion to her faith enriched the lives of all who experienced her productions. Marie had a special affinity for flowers, finding solace and joy in their vibrant colors and delicate beauty. Her home was always adorned with blooms, reflecting her love for nature's wonders. Above all, Marie cherished her family. She found immense happiness in spending time with her loved ones, especially during holidays when she would cook delicious meals that brought everyone together. Her culinary skills were matched only by the warmth and love she infused into every dish. Marie Jackson's memory will be forever treasured by her family: her devoted husband, children, grandchildren, and all who knew her. Her legacy of faith, music, creativity, and love will continue to inspire and uplift those whose lives she touched. Funeral services for Marie Jackson will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Jim Cloud and Jim Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
