Luann Craft Dunaway Parsons, age 88, of London, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024. She leaves behind two children, Jim Sloan (Connie), Carol Parsons, all of London, KY; her son-in-law, Thomas Cooper; seven grandchildren, Jamie Sloan (Angel), Justin Sloan (Amanda), LeeAnn Sloan Cheek (Sean), Joshua Parsons (Lauren), Amy Cooper, Logan Cooper, Joshua Cooper (Amanda); twelve great grandchildren, Britney Turkins, Isabella Salazar, Kyle Edward Sloan, Kasey James Sloan, Dylan Hubbard, Laila Rain Sloan, Colton Alexander Parsons, Tyson Reece Parsons, Mathew Martin, Catherine Cecil, Boone Cooper, Reece Cooper; plus a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Leon Parsons; her parents, Price & Vera Leone House Dunaway; three children, Judy Lynn Parsons, Mary Linda Parsons, Diane Parsons Cooper; two siblings, Daniel Keith Dunaway, Gerald Dunaway; and by her grandparents, Daniel Boone House and Polly Craft House. Luann was a self-employed beautician whose warm smile and caring spirit touched the lives of many. Luann's passion for her work was evident in the way she made every client feel special and cared for. She had a deep love for the Lord, her family, and her cherished dogs, who were always by her side. Luann found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether cheering on the UK basketball team, spending time with friends, or being present for those she loved. A woman of strong faith, Luann was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in London, KY. Her dedication to her church family and her commitment to her faith were guiding lights throughout her life. She will be remembered for her kindness, her love for the Lord, and her unwavering loyalty to the people and things she held dear. Luann will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, faith, and friendship will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. A Celebration of Life honoring Luann Craft Dunaway Parsons will be held on Saturday, August, 31, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Denny McCowan officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 31, 2024 beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the service hour, also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
