Larry Dean Beckner, age 70, of London, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025. He leaves behind his loving wife, Nettie Sue Mullins Beckner; two children, Stacy Turner & husband Glenn, David Beckner, all of London, KY; four siblings, Gene Beckner & wife Mildred of London, KY, Norman Beckner of Burksville, KY, Denny Beckner & wife Janice of Manchester, KY, Willis Beckner & wife Betty of London, KY; four grandchildren, Jarod Carnes, Emily Carnes, Molly Carnes, Alexandria; one great granddaughter, Sophia Carnes; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Daisy Dean Proffitt Beckner; two children, Greg Beckner, Ashley Beckner; and by two siblings, Robert Beckner, Donnie Beckner. Larry Beckner was a devoted father, skilled craftsman, and lifelong lover of the outdoors. Larry was self-employed as a talented metal worker, known for his dedication, creativity, and strong work ethic. Beyond his craft, he was an amazing father who found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. He loved taking them on outdoor adventures, whether it was hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature together. Larry also had a deep love for music. For several years, he shared his gift as a drummer in a band, bringing rhythm and joy to those who heard him play. His passion for music, family, and the outdoors reflected the vibrant spirit with which he lived his life. Above all, Larry will be remembered for the love he gave so freely to his family. His legacy will continue to live on through the memories and values he instilled in those who knew and loved him. A funeral service honoring Larry Dean Beckner will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Stanley Proffitt officiating. Interment will follow at the Beckner Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home.
