Kenneth Coleman Hughes Jr., age 60, of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025 surrounded by those he loved. He leaves behind his loving wife, Pamela Collett Hughes; his mother, Josephine Leigh Crispy Hughes; three children, Kenneth Coleman Hughes III & wife Paige of Corbin, KY, Katelyn Blanche Smith & husband Bradley of London, KY, Katisha Joann Hughes of Corbin, KY; two siblings, Richard Dale Hughes (Rich) of Seattle, WA, Anthony Leigh Hughes (Tony) of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, Kenneth Coleman Hughes IV (Ford), Kenedie Ella Hughes, Scarlett Paige Hughes, Caleb Wayne Smith; his nieces and nephews, T. J. Hughes, Emilie Southern, Mikaela Allbritten, Hannah Combs, Luke Hughes, Zachary Campbell, Nathan Collett; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Coleman Hughes Sr. Kenny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a faithful member of Grace Fellowship Church. He worked for many years as a dispatcher for Midwest Logistics. His quick wit, kindness, and ability to make everyone feel special left a lasting impact on coworkers and friends alike. Kenny was a devoted Dad and “Poppy,” cherishing every moment with his children and grandchildren. He expressed his love through cooking—especially breakfast and his famous brownies—believing that a warm meal was one of the best ways to bring people together. With a personality that could light up any room, Kenny had a gift for making people laugh. He loved history, especially World War II, and had a passion for classic cars. But above all, Kenny loved Jesus. He shared his testimony openly and joyfully, telling everyone he met about the Lord’s goodness. He worshipped faithfully until the very end, leaving a legacy of faith and love that will be remembered by all who knew him. A funeral service honoring Kenny Hughes will be held on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Fellowship Church in London, Kentucky with Dale Campbell officiating. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 2, 2025 beginning at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. The pallbearers will be T. J. Hughes, Grant Allbritten, Bradley Smith, Luke Hughes, Zachary Campbell, and Nathan Collett. Coleman Hughes is an honorary pallbearer. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
