Jerry Clinton Sizemore

Jerry Clinton Sizemore, age 85, of London, Kentucky was born October 7, 1937 in Harlan County. He was the son of the late Mark Sizemore and Opal Blankenship Sizemore. He was united in marriage to Beulah Hubbard Sizemore on May 13, 1957 who survives. He is also survived by his daughter, April Stewart & husband James, his son, James “Jamie” Clinton Sizemore & wife Tammy, all of London, KY; two siblings, Pauline Proffitt & husband Bobby of London, KY, Lillian Ritchie of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren, Angelica McFadden & husband Brad, Jarrod Stewart, Joshua Sizemore, Lindsey Weaver & husband Ryan, Samuel Sizemore & Mackenzie, all of London, KY; six great grandchildren, Jeremiah Waters, Jala Gabbard, Maverick Gabbard, Carson Liford, Colton Liford, Weston Weaver; one step grandchild, Amelia McFadden, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six siblings, Norma Jean Sizemore, James Ledford (J.L.) Sizemore, Evelyn Sizemore, Maretta Sizemore, Leonard Sizemore and Paul Sizemore. Jerry was a retired meatcutter from the Kroger Co. He was a veteran and served in the U.S. Army 1st Armored Division, 2nd battalion 33rd armor SP 4, marksman rifle M-1-cal.30. He received a great conduct medal. He was a member of the McKee Masonic Lodge, #144 for over 50 years. He was also a Kentucky Colonel and a Shriner. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and four wheeling with family and friends. He loved working on his genealogy, going for drives with his wife, driving his tractor, farming and raising cattle, and running around with his three very special friends, Bill Cole, Howard Ramsey and Danny Evans. Jerry was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Hightop Missionary Baptist Church. He loved the Lord, his family and friends and helping people. Jerry departed this life on Thursday, October 20, 2022 being 85 years and 13 days of age. Funeral services for Jerry Clinton Sizemore will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Mike McQueen and Dwayne Arthur officiating. Burial will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, Kentucky. Pallbearers include Sam Sizemore, Jarrod Stewart, Joshua Sizemore, Timothy Sizemore, Jerry Leonard Sizemore, Ryan Weaver, and Maverick Gabbard. Military honors will be provided by the local DAV Chapter 158 of Keavy, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 23, 2022 beginning at 6:00 p.m. with Masonic rights beginning at 6:30 p.m. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with arrangements.
