James R. Williams, age 91, of London, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026. He was born on March 17, 1935. He leaves behind his loving wife, Rosella McCollum Williams; his son, James M. “Mike” Williams & wife Doris Corum Williams of Manchester, KY; his daughter, Mitzi Sizemore & husband Mike Sizemore of Myakka City, FL; three grandchildren, James Marshall Williams of Frankfort, KY, Jessica Lane & husband Zach Lane of Parrish, FL, Shelby Sizemore & fiancé Chris Hanson of Whitesboro, TX; three great grandchildren, Nolan Lane & Emerson Rose Lane of Parrish, FL, Scottie Rae Hanson of Whitesboro, TX; his sister, Arlene Black of London, KY; plus a host of other family and friends to cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy E. & Kathleen Evans Williams. James was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and friend who leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, and unwavering dedication to his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, an experience that reflected his sense of duty and commitment to others. Following his military service, he built a career as a truck driver, a profession through which he became known as a dependable, hardworking man who took great pride in providing for those he loved. His strong work ethic and determination were evident throughout his life, and he was respected by all who knew him. Above all else, James treasured his family. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren, who brought endless happiness to his life. Whether sharing stories, laughter, or simply being together, the moments spent with his loved ones were the ones he cherished most. James will be remembered as a good provider, a man of integrity, and someone whose quiet strength and steadfast love served as the foundation of his family. His kindness, sacrifice, and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love him. Though he will be deeply missed, James's legacy of love, service, and dedication will never be forgotten . A funeral service honoring James R. Williams will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Johnny Jervis officiating and special music by the McCollum Sisters. Interment will follow at Rough Creek Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 15, 2026 beginning at 6:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be James Marshall Williams, Zach Lane, Mike Sizemore, David Black, Jimmy Parker, Bobby Parker, Glendon Parker and Chris Parker. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
