J. L. Bill, age 47, of London, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. He leaves behind his loving wife, Angela Pickard Bill; his mother, Pearlie Grubb Bill; two children, Morgan Nicole Bill Knight & husband Tate, John Zander Bill, all of London, KY; one granddaughter, Lilah Tate Knight; four siblings, Margaret Miller & husband Al, Janice Mullins & husband Buddy, Carol Luker & husband Jim, Ronnie Jones & wife Tonya, all of London, KY; his right-hand man, Matt Harris; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Bill; his stepson, James Nathaniel; and by his grandchild, Baby Knight. J. L. was the owner and operator of Floyd’s Wrecker Service. A faithful member of Faith Assembly of God Church in London, Kentucky, J. L. exemplified his faith through his actions, touching the lives of many with his unwavering devotion and compassion. His involvement with the Oleika Shriners and Masonic Lodge, F&AM of KY reflected his commitment to service and community. J. L. found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An enthusiast of Harley Davidson motorcycles and trucks, he embraced the freedom of the open road and the thrill of the ride. An avid fan of Dale Earnhardt, #3 held a special place in his heart, symbolizing his passion for racing and admiration for a legend. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the outdoors, riding 4-wheelers and side-by-sides with a contagious zest for life. Above all, J. L. was a man of God and a pillar of love within his family. As a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather, he showered his loved ones with boundless affection, guidance, and unwavering support. His presence illuminated the lives of those around him, leaving an indelible mark on their hearts. J. L. will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though he may have departed from this earthly realm, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide those who carry his memory forward. Funeral services for J. L. Bill will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Rodney Goodlett officiating. Burial will follow at Dunn Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The pallbearers will be Clifton Lawson, Matt Harris, Scott Tacket, Jerry Jones, Brian Stewart, Scotty Helton, Rob Hale and Zach Duncan. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 17, 2024 beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. We ask that you please respect the family’s private visitation time prior to public visitation hours. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
