Frieda Mae Holt, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished member of the community, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 at the age of 86. Frieda was a woman of great warmth and kindness, whose life was a testament to faith, family, and service. She leaves behind four children, Timothy Dean Holt & wife Debbie of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Tammy Wilson & husband Don of London, KY, Ron Holt & wife Glenda of Hamilton, OH, Rick Holt & wife Tami of London, KY; three siblings, Bob Lakes & wife Rita of Fairfield, OH, Henry Lakes & wife Debbie of Middletown, OH, Shirley Brehm of Fairfield, OH; seven grandchildren, Mikelle Brady, Michael Holt, Josh Wilson, Jake Holt, Dustin Holt, Nate Holt, Cameron Hicks; twelve great grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean R. Holt; her parents, Homer & Martha Crowe Lakes; two siblings, Ellis Lakes, Hazel Hooker; and by two grandchildren, Melissa Holt, Tyler Holt. Frieda dedicated many years of her life as a secretary to Dr. Paul Smith, where her diligent work and cheerful spirit left a lasting impression. Her commitment to her profession was matched only by her devotion to her family and community. She found immense joy in attending church, where she was an active member, and her involvement in the Women's Missionary Union was a source of fulfillment and purpose. Frieda's passion for reading and cultivating beautiful flowers reflected her appreciation for life's simple pleasures. Above all, Frieda treasured time spent with her family. Her love and wisdom will forever resonate in the hearts of her loved ones, who will fondly remember her as a beacon of love and strength. Frieda Mae Holt leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and service that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of sharing in her life. Funeral services for Frieda Mae Holt will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House Rawlings Funeral Home with Dr. Andrew Dyer officiating. Burial will follow at the McDaniel Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
