Freddie Jones, age 76, of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024. Freddie was known for his exceptional kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication to helping others. He leaves behind ten children, Nancy Lee Jones of Keavy, KY, Cathy Lynn Day & husband Terrence of Keavy, KY, Jordan Lewis “Freddie Lee” & wife Jenna of Nicholasville, KY, Michael Lewis "Michael Ray Jones" of London, KY, Steven Lewis "Steven Floyd Jones" of Corbin, KY, Michelle Lewis & husband Jonathan Caudill of London, KY, David Greene of Florida, Shelby Lynn Jones of Corbin, KY, William Aaron Jones & fiancé Kota Bray of Corbin, KY, Angela Renea Jones & fiancé Levi Lanham of Woodbine, KY; his stepdaughter, Gina Flannely of Baltimore, MD; three siblings, Moses Jones, Laura Couch, Hazel Boscaino; thirty-four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by wife, Barbara Jones; his parents, Dishman & Mary Jane Collingsworth Jones; his daughter, Mary Ann Jones; five siblings, James Lee Jones, Harry Jones, Rosco Jones, Molly Sue Jones, his twin brother who passed at birth, Eddie Jones; and by his grandchildren, Timothy & Terance Day. Freddie Jones was a retired diesel mechanic having worked at the 76 Truck Stop. Throughout his life, Freddie exhibited a remarkable spirit of giving and selflessness. He had a heart as vast as the Kentucky sky and treated everyone he met with warmth and respect. Freddie never met a stranger; his friendly demeanor and willingness to assist others endeared him to countless individuals in the community. If someone was in need, Freddie was always the first to offer support and assistance. Above all, Freddie cherished his family. He was a devoted father and grandfather, finding immense joy and fulfillment in the company of his children and grandchildren. His love for them was evident in every moment they shared together. Freddie's legacy of compassion and kindness will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind cherished memories and a profound impact on all whose lives he touched. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Jones cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky. The pallbearers will be Dillion Day, Michael Lewis, Steven Lewis, William Jones, Zavier Hammond, Levi Lanham and James David Sensabaugh. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 3, 2024 beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home.
