Eddie Howard

Eddie Howard of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at the age of 54, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Eddie was self-employed in the construction industry, where he spent many years building and creating with his own hands. His work was a testament to his dedication and skill. He leaves behind his wife, Darlene Holt Howard; two stepchildren, Tracy Hacker & husband Jeff, Dustin Holt both of London, KY; three siblings, Sheila Eversole & husband Wade of East Bernstadt, KY, Michelle Howard of East Bernstadt, KY, Latesha Hughes & husband Bryan of London, KY; three grandchildren, Dayne Hacker & wife Hannah, Tyra Hacker, Bella Marie Hacker; one great granddaughter, Gabbi Hacker; thirteen nieces and nephews, Tony Howard, Crystal Howard, Shawn Eversole, Anna Leona Wyatt, Jennifer Milam, Brianna Morgan Burkhart, Jayden Howard, Chase Howard, Jaylen Couch, Brice Couch, Hunter Hughes, Novaleigh Hughes, Olivia Howard; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert “Big Norton” Howard and Gladys Day Howard; two siblings, Stanley Howard, Willie Howard; and by one grandson, Liam Hacker. Eddie had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in fishing, hunting, and ginseng hunting, activities that connected him with nature and brought him great peace. Eddie was also known for his vibrant personality and his ability to make people laugh. He had a gift for bringing happiness to those around him, always ready with a joke or a kind word. Above all, Eddie cherished his family. He was a devoted family man, and his love for his children and grandchildren was boundless. He took great pride in being a good Papaw, creating lasting memories and sharing his wisdom and joy with the younger generations. Eddie's warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish the moments they shared with him. A memorial service honoring Eddie Howard will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 8:00 p.m. at Wayward Ministries at 587 West Highway 1376 East Bernstadt, KY 40729 with Pastor Harold Harris officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 26, 2024 beginning at 6:00 p.m. until the service hour also at the church. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
