Dustin Travis Slusher

Dustin Travis Slusher, age 38, of Milan, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. He leaves behind his mother, Debra Jean Slusher; two children, Jaelyn Slusher and Ashtin Slusher, both of Williamsburg, KY; three siblings, Tarah Slusher & wife Teri of Greendale, IN, Shaun Slusher & wife Whitney of Loveland, OH, Kendra Mueller & husband Kirk of Kailua, HI; plus, a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Edward Slusher; and by his grandparents, Joe Hyle & Shirley Slusher and Correne Morgan. Dustin was a self-employed diesel mechanic with a natural talent and lifelong passion for mechanics. Born and raised around the rumble of coal trucks, Dustin's love for machinery started early and shaped his life's work. His expertise and dedication made him a respected figure in his field. Dustin was known not only for his mechanical skills but also for his sharp wit. He had a unique ability to bring laughter to those around him, brightening even the toughest days. Outside of work, Dustin enjoyed motorcycles and the tranquility of fishing. He was also an avid fan of UK basketball, never missing a game and proudly supporting his team. Above all, Dustin's greatest joy and pride were his two beloved children. He cherished every moment spent with them, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. Dustin's presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He leaves behind a community richer for his contributions and a family forever grateful for his love. A funeral service honoring Dustin Travis Slusher will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Slusher Cemetery in Redbird, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 28, 2024 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
