Dorothy Vivian Couch, age 78, of London, Kentucky passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. She leaves behind her loving husband of 60 years, Jimmie (Crow) Couch; three children, James Couch & wife Jackie of London, KY, Teresa Huddleston & husband Terry of Knoxville, TN, Shelley Gregory & husband Shelby of London, KY; four grandchildren, Abigail Sears, Emily Sears, Tucker Gregory, Tyson Gregory; four siblings, Herman Leger & wife Nettie of London, KY, Annetta Begley & husband B.B. of London, KY, Elsie Withrow & husband Jon of Oklahoma, Christine Reeder & husband James of Sliver Grove, KY; several granddogs and grandcats; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest & Eunice Swanner Leger; and by five siblings, Mildred Lynch, Eugene Leger, Joann Smith, Leon Leger, Betty Lou Sanders. Dorothy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially in the kitchen where she delighted in cooking delicious meals for her loved ones. A regular visitor to the salon, she always enjoyed pampering herself, relishing the opportunity to get her hair and nails done. She had a lively presence on social media, particularly on Facebook, where she connected with friends and family, sharing laughs, memories, and staying up-to-date on the latest celebrity gossip. Above all, she treasured her grandchildren, showering them with love and affection. Her family was her greatest source of joy and fulfillment, and she dedicated her life to nurturing and supporting them. Dorothy will be deeply missed by her family and her many friends and acquaintances. Funeral services for Dorothy Vivian Couch will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Trevor Barton and Rick Holt officiating. Burial will follow at A. R. Dyche Memorial Park in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 1, 2024 beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home.
