Darlene Morgan, age 79, of Corbin, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025. She leaves behind four children, Connie Sams & husband Homer of Barbourville, KY, Patricia Napier & husband Denny of Leslie Co, Ken Morgan & Denise Lorene Seals of Corbin, KY, Freda Day & husband Gary of Wooten, KY; three siblings, Cleopas Morgan & wife Christine of Sparta, KY, Elaine Howard & husband Steve of Stinnett, KY, Kerry G. Morgan & wife Mable of Stinnett, KY; nine grandchildren, Justin Sams & wife Kacey, Jessica Sams Reynolds & husband Lance, Alicia Napier & Braxton Robinette, Mckenzie Napier, James Napier & wife Brooke, Courtney Day, Chelsey Day & Ben McClain, Halee Jones & husband Brandon, Anthony Eldridge; thirteen great-grandchildren, Serenity Jane Sams, Sehvren Sams, Melanie Ann Reynolds, Ruger Ray Reynolds, Isabella Kimber Reynolds, Jaylee Sams, Christian Blankenship, Zowie Cox, Allie Matthews, Cheal Matthews, Madelynn Orianna Hurt, Riverlyn Everlee Mae Jones, Jamison Zepplyn Reign Jones; a special friend, Amanda Couch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit Morgan & Elsie Sizemore Simpson; three siblings, Robert Ray Morgan, Roy Gene Morgan, Anne Irene Collett; three grandchildren, Chris Sams, Brandon Sams, Linda Suzanne Napier. Darlene was a kind and vibrant soul, found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for reading, sewing, and discovering treasures in thrift stores. Her green thumb was evident in her beautiful flower beds, where she spent many happy hours tending to nature's beauty. Darlene adored her animals, especially her three playful kittens, her beloved bird, and her little dog, Sugar, who brought her endless comfort and companionship. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all who knew her. A Memorial service honoring Darlene Morgan on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Wayne Baker, Jerry Maggard and Larry Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 2, 2025 beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the service hour, also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
