Charles E. Parker

Charles E. Parker, age 76, of London, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022. He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Glenda Harris Parker; two daughters, Teresa Parker Young of East Bernstadt, KY, Kim McPhetridge & husband Neil of London, KY; six siblings, Bob Parker & wife Betty of Fisherville, KY, Wayne Parker & wife Freda of Taylorsville, KY, Don Parker & wife Brenda of Louisville, KY, Aletha Bryant & husband Billy Wayne of Mt. Vernon, KY, Bill Parker & wife Hazel of Winchester, KY, Gary Parker & wife Judy of Mt. Vernon, KY; seven grandchildren, Emily Renner, Macy Renner, Parker McPhetridge, Peyton McPhetridge, Luke McPhetridge, Rylan Young, Levi McPhetridge; his honorary daughter, Brooke Keck & husband Michael of Somerset, KY, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Hattie Burdine Parker; and by four siblings, Kenneth Parker, Lydia Helton, Joyce Ledford, Louise Parker. Charles was a retired electrician having worked for Okonite Cables for over 32 years. He also served our country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a member of Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church. Charles was a handyman for everyone. If anyone needed advice or help, he was the go-to guy. He loved his family dearly, especially his wife, kids and grandkids. He was like a second father to a lot of people. Funeral services for Charles E. Parker will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Norman Brock and Denny McCowan officiating. Burial will follow Bales Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. Military honors will be provided by the local DAV Chapter 158 of Keavy, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 7, 2022 beginning at 6:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. The pallbearers are Neil McPhetridge, Parker McPhetridge, Brian Parker, Ryan Young, Glenn Chesnut, Britton Bryant, Justin Bryant and Josh Cochran. Honorary pallbearers are Rylan Young, Peyton McPhetridge, Luke McPhetridge, Levi McPhetridge and Michael Keck. The family has entrusted House Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
