Carrie Sparks Tincher

Carrie Sparks Tincher, age 90, of London, Kentucky passed away on March 8, 2025. She leaves behind five children, Delores Lewis, Eddie Tincher & wife Michelle, Danny Tincher, Marlene Hoskins & husband Kaney, Lisa Russell, all of London, KY; seventeen grandchildren; plus a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family and friends to cherish her memory. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Andrew Tincher, and her second husband, David Tincher Sr.; her parents, Arthur Sparks and Lilah Hamilton Sparks; four children, Darlene Jent, Judith Marie Tincher Lewis, David Tincher Jr., and Carlos James Tincher; eight siblings, Ballard Sparks, Adrian Sparks, Irene Stewart, Martha Hammock, Lynn Poole, Jean Barker, Bonnie Brooks, and infant brother Lewis Sparks; by four grandchildren, Shannon Renee Tincher, Michael Stacy, Nathaniel Gregory, Justin Lewis; and by one great grandson, Ezekiel Russell. Carrie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, she was the heart of her family, always keeping everyone together with her unwavering strength and love. A hardworking homemaker, Carrie never shied away from a challenge. She worked from daylight to dark, raising her children on her own without complaint. She was known for her straightforward nature—never one to sugarcoat things—but always honest and dependable. Her family knew they could count on her no matter what. To them, she was simply the best mom ever. Carrie had a deep love for flowers, finding joy in their beauty, and she cherished her family above all else. She was a faithful member of Greenmount Baptist Church, where her faith remained a guiding force in her life. Her legacy of strength, devotion, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. A funeral service honoring Carrie Tincher will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with James Allen officiating. Interment will follow at the Seven Pines Cemetery in Jackson County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
