Carol Sizemore Jones

Carol Sizemore Jones, age 76, peacefully entered paradise on October 31, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family. Carol was the oldest sibling born to the union of Jimmy & Edna Couch Sizemore in Hyden, Kentucky on March 4, 1948. She was a devout Christian and faithful servant to her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ & to the mission at Old Union Holiness Church, where she was an active member until her passing. She also served as the ladies’ auxiliary president for many years. Carol was a successful & talented business woman, having owned and operated Heaven Sent Flowers for nearly 30 years. It was not uncommon for what once was a stranger to quickly become a customer and longtime friend once they were met with Carol’s kind and warm embrace. To know her was to love her, and to be loved by her. Though she was “Carol” to most, her favorite titles were “Mom” & “Mamaw” & “Mam”. She loved her family immensely, especially when everyone was together under one roof sharing a meal. Her consistent prayers have & will continue to carry them through. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her younger sister Marilyn Sizemore & reunited with her loving husband, Daniel Jones. Her memory will live on through her children, Recil Jones & wife Angie, and Rodney Jones & Shelly Wyatt; her granddaughters, Makenzie Jones Robinson & husband Bryan, Taylor Jones, Abby Jones, & Avery Jones; her precious great granddaughter, her “sweetie pie” Eliza Blayke (Liza B.) Robinson; and her bonus great grandchildren Jake & Luke Robinson. She leaves behind two siblings, Faye Couch & Carson Sizemore, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, family, & friends who will all greatly miss her. A funeral service honoring Carol Sizemore Jones will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Pastor Bobby Helton, Scott Carroll and Robbie Helton officiating. Interment will follow at Couch Cemetery in London, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 beginning at 6:00 p.m., also at the funeral home. The pallbearers will be Nathan Couch, Doug Couch, Hunter Couch, James Nathan Jones, Jeremy Collett and Chris Freeman. Honorary pallbearers are Christy & Sarah Sizemore in addition to her nieces and nephews. In lieu of gifts, the family respectfully requests donations be made in Carol’s honor to Old Union Holiness Church, P. O. Box 861, London, KY 40741. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
