Alma Sue Price

Alma Sue Price, 80, of Keavy, Kentucky went on to her heavenly home on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Alma was born in Beech Grove, Tennessee to the late Dewey & Marie Duncan. Along with her parents, Alma also had three sisters, Debbie Duncan, Chestine Bryge, Charlene Mobley; three brothers, Robert Duncan, Clayton Duncan, & Chelma “Terry” Duncan; and her granddaughter, Sabrina Mechel Price who preceded her in death. Alma is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Glenn E. Price Sr.; son, Glenn E. Price & wife Lavonia, daughter, Jana Price Johnson & husband Scott. Alma’s grandchildren, Samantha Price, Whitney Johnson, Leslie Price, Austin Johnson & Colton Johnson; Alma’s great-grandson, Ryker G. Hall. Alma is also survived by her sisters, Maxine Lutner, Ava Yoakum, Pat Ford & Charlotte Duncan; plus, several nieces & nephews to mourn her passing. Alma was known for her sweet nature and her love for the outdoors. She found solace and joy in activities such as camping, fishing, and gardening. Her green thumb was evident in her knack for growing roses and all sorts of flowers, which brought beauty to her surroundings. Alma's love for nature extended to her enjoyment of simply being outside, where she felt most at peace. However, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She cherished every moment with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. Alma's kindness, love, and passion for life will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of warmth and affection will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. The family would like to give a special thanks to Bluegrass Care Navigators Hospice; Autumn, Deborah and the entire staff there. Also, a special thank you to the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. A funeral service honoring Alma Sue Price will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Greene officiating. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, KY. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour also at the funeral home. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
