Aaron Simpson

Aaron Simpson, age 65, of East Bernstadt, Kentucky passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025. He leaves behind one son, Kenneth Maggard & wife Cleo of East Bernstadt, KY; two grandchildren, Kristopher Maggard, Trynten Maggard; three siblings. Angie McQueen of East Bernstadt, KY, Billy Simpson & wife Sonja of Somerset, KY, Michael Dewayne Simpson of Somerset, KY; his uncle, Tom Simpson; plus a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends to cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Maggard; his parents, Gerald Morgan & Bertha Simpson; and by his brother, Eddie Simpson. Aaron was known for his strong work ethic, his kind heart, and his deep appreciation for life’s simple joys. Aaron dedicated more than 47 years of his life to Robinson Stave Mill, where he worked his way up to the role of supervisor. His commitment and leadership left a lasting impact on both his coworkers and the company he helped shape. He took great pride in his work and valued the friendships built along the way. Beyond his career, Aaron’s greatest joy came from the time spent with his children and grandchildren, whom he loved deeply and unconditionally. Whether riding his Harley down winding country roads, exploring the great outdoors, or traveling to new places, Aaron embraced life with a free spirit and an open heart. He especially cherished family gatherings, where laughter and stories were shared, and memories were made. Aaron’s legacy is one of hard work, love, and adventure. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him., A funeral service honoring Aaron Simpson will be held on Wednesday, April 23 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Harold Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Maggard Cemetery in East Bernstadt, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Wednesday beginning at 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour, also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
