Clifford Wade Durham

Clifford Wade Durham, age 81, of London, Kentucky passed away on Friday, January 10, 2025. He leaves behind his loving wife of 61 years, Phyllis Ann Durham; two children, Jeffrey Durham & wife Jennifer, Travis Durham & wife Tracy, all of London, KY; five grandchildren, Joseph Durham & wife Tiarra, Jake Durham, Brandon Durham & wife Elizabeth, Kyle Durham, Ethan Durham; two great grandchildren, Raelyn Grace Durham, Elias Rodriquez; three siblings, Terrill Durham & wife Jerri of East Bernstadt, KY, Doloris Burns & husband Larry of East Bernstadt, KY, Tilmond Durham & wife Cindy of London, KY; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack & Nannie Ruth Durham; one son, Michael Durham; four siblings, Jack Edward Durham, Doris Critzer, Cletis Jo Waldon, James Durham. Clifford was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and faithful servant of the Lord. He was a dedicated member of New Salem Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a deacon and was a cornerstone of the congregation. A man of deep faith and a servant’s heart, Clifford was always the first to lend a helping hand wherever needed, particularly around the church. Whether it was repairing, building, or assisting with any task, his tireless work ethic and generosity were a testament to his love for God and his community. Clifford was a farmer by trade, cultivating both the land and the lives of those around him with patience and care. He was known for his incredible ability to fix or build anything, turning challenges into opportunities with his hands and heart. In his leisure time, Clifford loved fishing—a pastime that brought him peace and joy. Above all, he cherished his family, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and memories. A private family service honoring Clifford Wade Durham will be held in the chapel of House-Rawlings Funeral Home with Ron Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hazel Green, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in Clifford’s honor to the New Salem Food Pantry addressed at P.O. Box 123 Pittsburg, KY 40755. The family has entrusted House-Rawlings Funeral Home with the arrangements.
